The 1996 American Banker/Gallup Consumer Survey shows that PC ownership is widespread among households with at least one bank account. Nearly half (48%) owned a PC; three-fourths of those had modems (36%). Among those with household income greater than $75,000 a full 77% owned a PC (55% with PC & modem). Online banking usage remains low with approximately 3% of all households having ever used online banking.
