Schwertner State Bank (Schwertner, TX; $20 million) and City National Bank (Taylor, TX; $110 million) and six others banks are piloting MoneyXpress, the latest Internet banking collaborative effort. Mesa Internet Systems of Austin, TX (data center), Microsoft (Money front-end software)., CompUSA (training and hardware), Southwestern Bell (Internet access), PULSE EFT (real-time processing of inquiries and transactions), Visa Interactive (bill payment processing), PRIMEVEST Financial Services (brokerage services) and CFI ProServices (online banking middleware) have all contributed their names and expertise to the effort spearheaded by the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) which represents 730 community banks serving 5 million customers across Texas.
