First Bank to Win National Banking Charter for Internet-only Operations

CompuBank (Houston, TX) will open its virtual doors on Oct. 7. The bank, the first to win a national banking charter for Internet-only operations, has added a few twists to its product line to differentiate itself from the pack including online wire transfers and online overdraft protection.
