Most large companies work in silo, and miss out a lot of cross-sell opportunities. WorkLight believe that it is easier to leverage the interface of Facebook: people are familiar with it. I like the approach, and they do a good job.
But If I think about the banking industry, I am not that convinced it will work. They face a few challenges: a lot of companies blocked Facebook, if your employees don't have a Facebook account they will have to create one, the topology of your workforce could be a challenge: it is common to see people having worked 20 or 30 years in the branch network.
