Things are starting to come together at Billserv.com. Besides having a superb domain name, www.bills.com the San Antonio, TX-based company put itself on the map by landing the much-coveted Sallie Mae bill presentment account. With 2.4 million billing statements per month, expected to grow to 4 million per month in 2000, Sallie Mae is one of the biggest billers in the country. And its recent-college-graduate population is a perfect segment to pitch bill presentment to. Separately, the OTC-bulletin board stock released its first earnings statement showing $0 in revenue and $2.5 million in expenses for the first six months of 1999. The company trades over the counter as BLLS and sports a market cap of just under $60 million (8/12/99).
