Commerce Bank (Kansas City, MO; $12.3 billion; 1.1 million ATM cards) snagged one of the best domain names on the market, ebank.com paying an undisclosed sum to purchase it from the previous registrant. The URL currently links to a “Mindspring under construction” moniker. There is no word on when we’ll see an E*Bank.com opening its virtual doors. Too bad they couldn’t get “ecommerce.com” as well.
