First Financial Federal Credit Union (West Covina, CA; $315 million) launched its redesigned Web site featuring account access, automobile shopping/ financing, travel information, and discounts on local goods and services such as movies and paging. Aside from American Express, this is the most ambitious integration of financial services with non-financial info we’ve seen. And FFFCU has done a good job at it, almost too good. They need to make sure the banking information isn’t lost amidst the other stuff. FFFCU’s travel subsidiary, TSA, is the service provider for the travel info. The redesign effort took 750 hours of work from its designer, Jaffe2 out of Glendale, CA.

Online banking services are provided by Online Resources, which has grown to be the second largest online banking vendor in the United States measured by number of institutions signed. Online Resource’s 115 financial institution clients trails only the 185 signed by CFI ProServices.

FFFCU’s Marketplace provides discounts and promotional offers from various retailers. The Movies section includes links to movie schedules and reviews along with this online order form to buy discounted tickets. Members or nonmembers can purchase tickets by entering their credit card number in the (unsecure) form.
