Monument Mortgage

www.iqualify.com

iQualify.com from FINET Holding (Walnut Creek, CA), owner of Monument Mortgage, promises to approve loans online in minutes. While it’s one of the best entry points we’ve seen from an online lender, this great first impression is negated by a sparse site that doesn’t do enough to build credibility with consumers. It’s naïve to think consumers will input their personal life history on a site called iQualify with no assurances of privacy, security, or the legitimacy of the site.

Contrast this approach to that of GetSmart (p. 9-10), which only takes a few bits of less-sensitive data, then contacts the prospect by phone, or NextCard (p. 12-19) which is loaded with consumer reassurances.

One of the best opening screens from a mortgage lender. Four lenders participate: Monument, US Mortgage, Coastal States, and Hibernia.
